How do I apply?
Choose from the list below and click on the form you require.
REVALIDATION - For annual renewal of a boat's IRC rating. Certificates can be revalidated up to 5 years after the previously issued certificate. Click on the Revalidation logo to start your online revalidation for the 2017 rating year.
NEW APPLICATION - For boats that haven’t previously held an IRC certificate or whose last IRC certificate was issued more than 5 years earlier.
AMENDMENT - For boats that hold a current and valid IRC certificate and have made changes to the originally rated data. If you don't have a valid certificate for the current year and you have made changes to the boat you will need to apply for a Revalidation.
TRIAL - To be used for gaining an indication of how a boat’s rating will change if certain improvements or enhancements are made to the current configuration. Each boat is limited to 6 trial certificates within a rating year. A Trial certificate is NOT valid for racing.
RE-REGISTRATION - Transfer of ownership for a boat that already has a valid IRC certificate for that rating year. IRC certificates are invalidated by change of ownership so transfer of ownership must be declared. Please note that this form is not to be used for Revalidation.
ONE DESIGN - The IRC One-Design application can only be used for those boat classes that are designated IRC One-Design classes. Boats rated as one-design must comply with their class rules when racing. For boats holding a recognised One Design class certificate.
Payment details must be provided with all application forms submitted to Australian Sailing.
All changed data must be declared by the owner to the Rating Office to keep your boat’s rating current. Please also make sure that you refer to the IRC website and current IRC Yearbook to keep up to date with the rule changes from year-to-year.
