Youfor2032 begins

Youfor2032 is an initiative created from a partnership between the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) and Australian Sailing. The purpose of the program is to utilise the QAS school talent search to identify potential sailors from different sporting backgrounds for the Sailing Performance Pathway and the upcoming Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

Active Club Program Grant now open

Providing funding support to active recreation and sport clubs to further develop the programs and services they provide within the South Australian community. Grants of either $1,500 or $3,000 will be available for each applicant based on the membership of the club.

First entries for the inaugural Sydney to Auckland Ocean Race 2023

The first entries have been received for the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC), and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) hosted the inaugural Sydney to Auckland Ocean Race, due to start on Saturday, 7 October 2023, at 1 pm. Postponed in 2021 due to Covid, this challenging 1250 nautical mile race starts on Sydney Harbour and finishes off the RNZYS in Auckland. It is open to racing and cruising yachts, superyachts, and ocean-racing multihulls.

With a history dating back to at least 1905, the Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club (SPASC) is located at the northern end of the renowned Lake Macquarie in New South Wales and is one of only three clubs from around Australia selected to host members of the Australian SailGP team – including local Olympian Nathan Outteridge – when they visit our shores this February.
