Round 1 of the Manly Junior State Championships: A Weekend of Sunshine and Sailing Success

The first round of the Manly Junior State Championships kicked off in spectacular fashion last weekend at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club. Competitors, volunteers, and support crews were treated to perfect conditions, with a sunny northeast seabreeze setting the stage for some thrilling racing. A total of 30 boats contested Open and Novice Divisions, showcasing the skill and enthusiasm of junior sailors from clubs across the region.

She Sails Development Regatta – NCYC

This event, designed to promote and develop women’s sailing, is an annual regatta to help our emerging Sailing Academy graduates and invited teams from other club women’s training programs, make the transition into racing. We aim to create friendships and comradery to ensure all competitors’ sailing experiences are fun and rewarding.

Bird Island results

Congratulations to Richard Hudson from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club and his crew onboard Pretty Woman for adding another impressive win to the trophy cabinet this past weekend as part of the Bird Island Race. Pretty Woman came first in the Wild Rose Division and 2nd in the IRC Corinthian. Well done to all who sailed in the race!

2025 ILCA Solidarity Program for female youth sailors announced

The Oceania and Australian ILCA Associations are pleased to announce the eight young female sailors from Oceania districts selected for the Oceania ILCA Solidarity program. They will come together and participate in the ILCA4 youth division at the 2025 ILCA (Laser) Australian and Oceania Championships at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron in January.

The fourth SheSails conference for 2024 was a powerful celebration of incredible women.
