Sydney 38’s and their sailors really are in a class of their own; the proof is in the pudding with the likes of Thierry Leseigneur’s Eye Candy taking out IRC and ORCi honours in the Groupama Around New Caledonia Race in June, while second and third overall also went New Caledonian Sydney 38s, Guilty Pleasures – Speed Marine and Poulpito MLS FCD.

YRSA will be conducting a weighing day on Sunday 18th September 2022 from 9am at Sandringham Yacht Club for boats that wish to obtain or update their measurement ratings certificates – AMS, ORCc endorsed and IRC.

Darwin Regattas a Huge Success

It has been a busy month in Darwin with 3 regattas in as many weeks. The volunteers and club staff at the Darwin Sailing Club have done an amazing job of keeping things going over this time and delivering three successful events as a result. There are two more to go this season with the NT Womens Regatta on 7 & 8 August, and the Oceanic Laser Masters Championship fast approaching on the 21-26 August.

Club in Focus: Capricornia Cruising Yacht Club (CCYC)

A short walk from the Keppel Bay Marina, Capricornia Cruising Yacht Club (CCYC) is situated in the beautiful Rosslyn Bay in Yeppoon. Established in 1974 by a small yet passionate group of sailors, this club has grown to become the centerpiece of its local sailing community, regularly hosting community events as well as sailing-focused activities.
