Safety and Sea Survival Centres

Applications to deliver Safety & Sea Survival courses

Safety and Sea Survival courses can only be delivered at Australian Sailing Training Centres who employ a current Safety and Sea Survival Instructor.  As part of the application process, Australian Sailing will ask to view your presentation material, safety management system, and confirm that suitable teaching aids are available.  It is normal practice for the Chief Instructor to conduct an initial review and observe part of the first training course.  If you are considering becoming, or require additional information about becoming a Training Centre please contact Australian Sailing on (02) 8424 7453 or by email

Prior to application you should download and read the latest Operating Standards and Guidelines for Recognition which can be found on the Forms page.

All participants on Australian Sailing Safety and Sea Survival Courses must be registered with Australian Sailing (through myCentre) as soon after the course as is possible* in order to be issued with a nationally recognised certificate in a reasonable timeframe.
